RHYMES OF A FAMILY MAN

A Short Volume of Heart

I created this anthology of simple poetry for the grandchildren of my grandchildren… but I share it with all. While each of the stories relates to specific events in my personal life, the themes and emotions are universal. I encourage you to pick the volume up with a smile and perhaps put it down with a memory of your own to warm the day.

Poems Convey the Profound Message

Rhymes of a Family Man by E. A. Coe is a heartfelt collection of poems and illustrations that celebrates life's simple joys, family bonds, and cherished memories. The collection encourages parents to embrace their inner child and take time to play with their kids. From opening Christmas presents to playing baseball, these poems capture various ways to interact with children. The poems tell touching stories of grandparents taking walks with their grandchildren, a parent seeing their child get married, and experiences of becoming a father of twins. The author explores learning from adventures, sharing tales of ships and their crews, along with horseback rides. He also reflects on treasured items, like baseball gloves that hold memories of happy moments, and addresses the sadness of losing a grandparent or a beloved pet. Read these poems to appreciate life's special moments.

The poems convey the profound message that true riches lie in shared experiences, family relationships, and the memories that withstand the test of time. Overall, this is a wonderful work, and a nostalgic read perfect for sharing with family and friends.
